Alienina project is born in 2008 with the aim of inspiring people to discover that items can have an extra life and new functions from an Italian designer: Eliana Venier. Alienina contemporary jewellery collection is made of one-of-a-kind pieces, handmade in Italy using poor and discarded materials. Alienina is now distributed in Europe, US and Australia, in many concept stores, galleries, museums. The brand realized some collaboration with other fashion brands, the last one was with Comme des Garcons: Alienina created a special capsule collection exclusive for their Xmas Campaign 2011. Alienina collection is made with recycled materials: sailing ropes, a special rubber commonly used for cars, cotton wicks for petrol lamps. Necklaces are realized in different colors, from basic black & white to purple, yellow, light blue. The trend is creating statement pieces, for people who are bored of massive fashion and wants to wear something unique, with a strong personality. Inspiration comes from architecture and at the same time from the natural environment: Alienina jewellery are architectures to wear with an organic touch.
