London based designer Claire Judge created Alöe in 2003 as a collection of high-end, fashion orientated lingerie and loungewear. Claire draws inspiration for Alöe from her love of vintage fashion, her Anglo-Chinese heritage and from a desire to design an elegant line of lingerie that fuses seamlessly with a stylish wardrobe. "Beautiful lingerie makes women feel special and gives women a feeling of sensuality and softness," says Claire. "Alöe's lingerie collection is created with the highest attention to detail and quality. It is made in the softest washed silks and trimmed with delicate English laces, with each French seam, fine pin-hem and embroidery design ensuring a beautiful and high-end finish". The launch of the first Alöe lingerie collection proved a great success with the prestigious stores Barneys NY and Coco de Mer snapping up the collection. Patricia Fields dressed Carrie in Alöe's lingerie in the Sex and the City series and Kirsten Dunst wore Alöe in the Spiderman 3 movie. Alöe continued to gather a celebrity following and was featured in the Sex and the City movie and soon after Kate Moss, Dita Von Teese, Yasmin Le Bon, Jade Jagger, Nicole Kidman and Florence Welch all became fans. December 2011 saw Vogue UK cite Alöe as its favourite lingerie label in the 'Vogue Christmas Secret Address Book'. After the continued success of the Alöe lingerie and loungewear collection and by natural progression and demand, Claire finally launched a capsule collection of ready-to-wear for winter 2012. Alöe's ready-to-wear collections remain true to Claire's love of sumptuous fabrics and meticulous attention to detail. Her knowledge of lingerie design has been carried through to the clothing collection, creating a feminine and flattering silhouette with a clean and contemporary edge. Styles are simple, pared down and chic. The lingerie and loungewear continues now alongside this luxurious, affordable and sophisticated collection.
