Clarice Price Thomas is an award winning jewellery designer working from London who is fast becoming known for her unique and contemporary designs, technical ability and attention to detail. Growing up as the daughter of a watch & clock maker, Clarice designs jewellery which combines her interests in machinery, movements, mechanisms and antiques, with an innovative, unique and elegant design philosophy. The jewellery becomes timeless modern heirlooms which reflect the ethos of Clarice's brand to create items of true beauty, that are made to the finest quality and built to last. Inspired by the unseen inside machines, Clarice's high finish and mechanical creations put themes often perceived as masculine and mundane, into a delicate, appealing and glamourous light. Clarice's jewellery is not aimed at a particular gender, age group or type; it is designed for anyone looking to add a touch of luxury and individuality to their look. Clarice designs and hand makes all the jewellery in her Clerkenwell based workshop. She was recently named as 2013's top 100 creatives as chosen by The Hospital Club and the Guardian Professional Culture's Network. She was also named by Professional Jeweller as one of 2012's HOT 100, ear marking her as one to watch in the future. Her debut collection titled, Time is inspired by inside of watches and the beautiful movements that can be found inside. She uses traditional watch makers machines including Milling Machines and Lathes to create the pieces. Metropolis, the second collection is inspired by the cityscapes and shapes found in the city. It is also a continuation of how machines can be used in the manufacture of jewellery, giving a truly unique and distinct aesthetic to Clarice's jewellery.
