As a gem expert – formerly an international director and senior specialist for Christie’s – Glenn Spiro has a natural eye for purity and perfection which is a touchstone in the marketplace. He is privileged to be entrusted with the rarest and most precious gems, often personally flying them around the world to his private clients. As an artist jeweller for over 25 years, he is called upon by a small elite of super-brands to design one-off couture pieces for their collections – and by the fortunate few who find their way to his atelier. Mr Spiro conceives each jewel in response to the gem’s intrinsic light, colour and shape, producing unique pieces which are as iconic as they are sophisticated and original. And it is in response to the exuberance and success of his designs that the G collection is now being presented exclusively in the Fine Jewellery Room of London’s Harrods, where these unique pieces are for the first time on display to the wider public – and where clients can meet with Glenn in a private salon, away from the shop floor.
