FLEXIBLE & STRONG. Creative Director's Biography Louise Middleton likes to live life as one big creative adventure. After spending seven years in a caravan building her own home in Devon. Quite literally. She headed up the successful "Bikini Swimwear" company in 2005 and hooked up with leading illustrator Jasper Goodall to create the knock out swimwear brand JG4B. Selling globally and at world renowned shops like Selfridges and Browns Focus. Her swimwear has been worn by the rich and famous and daring connoisseurs of fashion. Already a mother of one, and with twin boys on the way, she was forced to stand back from the stresses of running her business. "London, logistics and outsourcing were all too difficult. I wanted to be the maker - be at one and linked with my environment. Get involved in the craft and make at home using local people. Redevelop the idea of the traditional crafts person. "Originality there is so little of it." An interest in leather and the art and craft of making was a natural progression. "I wanted to make something that everyone needs - men women and children. A one off. Something that will last a life time. " Leather matures with time like wine and wood. It is a material that has a living relationship with its owner taking on their scent and yielding its own - absorbing natural oils - the scuffs of hard toil and happiness. It shapes to fit you. It is strong and flexible. Its crafting a lost art. I truly am in my element when making, there is so much to learn and develop " Clients can join in with the design process and get something that's really personal.
