Alessandra Affonso Ferreira, the creative force behind Isolda, is a Brazilian architect and textile designer based in New York who trained in London at the Chelsea College of Arts & Design. Isolda's unique Ready To Wear Collections are defined by Alessandra's digital handpainted prints. Alessandra begins the creative process by painting her designs in water colours, which are then digitalised, arranged and printed on the finest textiles. Isolda's exclusive SS'13 Collection emerged as a social network phenomenon after catching the imagination of fashionistas, bloggers and journalists from around the world with its striking, tropical Brazilian DNA. Alessandra launched Isolda in 2012 with the collaboration of Juliana Affonso Ferreira (Fashion Journalist & Film Maker) and Maya Pope (Graphic Designer). Together Alessandra, Juliana and Maya are Isolda.
