Maison Zucker is an individual textiles label established by Katja Guenther. Contemporary and tradition meet world beauty and diversity Katja’s unique designs are inspired by traditional design techniques, infused with a dedication to fluid experimentation and global discovery. Katja is a graduate of London College of Fashion, and has worked within leading, international design studios and fashion houses in London and Hong Kong. She brings vast knowledge and experience to her individual designs as a print and surface textiles designer. Maison Zucker is named after her grandfather, a tailor of the family name Zucker, reflecting tradition, quality and experience. Her unique designs are complemented by unexpected diversity in beauty, discovered throughout her world travel. Inspiration for her designs is found in a world of contrast and dramatic. It is found in far, exotic lands, in nature, landscapes and in the rich culture of their people. The result is distinctive, quality prints, intricate hand drawings, painted and merged with unexpected textures and haptics, with fresh and luminous colours. Hand drawings, experimental material compositions and paintings are developed into an array of patterns, textures and colours. The Collections Maison Zucker creates high quality and unique contemporary textiles for fashion and furnishings. Prints are digitally printed onto the finest qualities, including wool and silks, and furnishing fabrics are woven. Maison Zucker has developed and launched a collection of exclusive scarves using finest fabrics. The collection is currently available online and within selected boutiques across Europe.
