During the 70’s the Daytona collection, which was made up mainly of boots and shoes with a forwards masculine look, won the attention of the press and buyers so as to be exhibited at the Museum of Fashion in New York. At the same time the opening of several boutiques occurred in Italy, Florence Milan and Rome, and the brand became famous on a worldwide scale, above all in Japan. More recently, in 2000, a collaboration with the Aeffe Luxury group began, and in 2001 a buyout by the latter lead to Pollini producing Alberta Ferretti, Philosophy by Alberta Ferretti, Moschino, Moschino Cheap and Chic and Love Moschino accessories and footwear. In 2008 the English designer Nicholas Kirkwood was appointed Pollini design director and became Pollini creative director in 2010.
