Verditer was started by a University of Exeter graduate with the aim of building a more exclusive and authentic alternative to the mainstream upmarket lifestyle brands available today. The vision was a British lifestyle clothing and accessories brand, inspired by the sporty university experience, British heritage, and the town and country life. It was to be a brand of substance and integrity, driven by values and real passion for design, products and the best possible customer experience. We didn't just want to sell a lifestyle brand though, we wanted to make products that sold themselves through their own merit as well so we kicked off with something original and unique - our signature silk club colours bracelets. It began life as a promotional concept, but after spending a lot of time developing a prototype it became a labour of love and we felt it had serious potential as a product in it's own right. A prototype in the brand colours was distributed amongst friends to get feedback and some word of mouth going. Enquiries started coming in about bespoke bracelets, many from university sports teams interested in getting them in their club colours, so designs were made up for three unis - Exeter, Cirencester and Harper Adams - and the orders started flooding in! Since then more and more universities, colleges, clubs and societies have been getting in touch to get their own club colours bracelets made. With the university bracelets being exclusive and only available directly through the uni clubs and colleges the next step for Verditer was to launch products that were available for anyone to buy, so this website launched with a range of solid satin slim bracelets, with belts and socks to follow very soon. Verditer isn't just a bracelet brand, bracelets are just the beginning. We're already working on the first clothing pieces which include fleece and quilted gilets, and upmarket sports leisurewear such as rugby shorts, sweats, t-shirts and long sports socks. We want to fly the flag for the best of British with pride, integrity... and of course style! There's so much potential here and the better we do as a business the more we can offer our customers in terms of products and experience, and the more scale we have the more we can do to support British manufacturing so wear your bracelets with pride and keep spreading the word.
