Acne Studios’ blue 1977 jeans are named to reflect the subtle bootcut silhouette, a style popularised in the decade. They’re crafted in Italy from pure cotton denim that’s distressed and washed to heighten the retro mood and fit to a high-rise waist with a traditional five pocket set up. Note the signature millennial-pink leather logo patch, which sits to the back.
Swedish design collective ACNE was founded in 1997 by Jonny Johansson. Initially specialising in jeans the brand now is a byword for modern classics infused with Scandinavian cool as seen in the likes of Stella and Elle.
Vogue UK Digital Fashion Writer, Alice Cary says: “Summer jeans are a sensible and stylish choice for those inevitable cooler days. For daytime, wear with a linen blouse, and in the evening, try pairing with a cut-out top”. 18 June 2021.
