Did you know Jonny Johansson created Acne Studios’ iconic face motif in 2017 as a representation of the typical Swedish citizen who is “not too happy and not too sad’’? Fast-forward five years later, and the logo which makes a welcome appearance on this cardigan is now a brand hallmark. It’s not the only signature trait to appear on this familiar silhouette though; the pure wool construction reminds us of the label’s Scandi roots.
Swedish design collective ACNE was founded in 1997 by Jonny Johansson. Initially specialising in jeans the brand now is a byword for modern classics infused with Scandinavian cool as seen in the likes of Stella and Elle.
