London-based jewellery label Alighieri might be named after Dante, but when crafting the A Heap of Broken Images bracelet it was inspired by another writer. Echoing the depictions of poet T.S. Eliot in The Waste Land, the brand crafts this piece from 14-carat yellow gold-plated bronze then marries an interlinking figaro chain with three charms that look as though they could have been discovered on an archaeological dig. Slip yours on alone and watch it glitter in the light.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
