Baby Lion In The Night 24kt Gold-Plated Necklace

Alighieri’s Baby Lion in the Night necklace is inspired by how Dante’s Inferno from the Divine Comedy has informed other literary works, in particular T.S. Eliot’s The Wasteland. It’s made in London’s Hatton Garden from 24kt gold-plated bronze and uses wax-casting methods to achieve the intricate proportions of the lion pendant.

Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
