Alighieri's 24kt gold-plated sterling-silver Cancer ring belongs to the label's Many Moons Ago collection, which is inspired by Dante Alighieri's Paradiso, the third and final part of his 14th century poetic masterpiece The Divine Comedy. It's made using an artisanal lost-wax casting technique in London's Hatton Garden with a textured band that depicts a debossed crab – a symbol of the charismatic and compassionate star sign.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
