Inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy (that’s a super-long Italian narrative poem, in case you didn’t know), Alighieri was thought up when founder Rosh Mahtani looked for solace in Dante’s work. The result? The La Collisione necklace. Made in London's Hatton Garden from solid sterling silver, it features two pendants: one taken from the pressing of an antique Venetian coin, and the other, cast in 24-carat gold-plate bronze.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
