The Lunar Rocks 24kt Gold-Plated Hoop Earrings

Crafted with a craggy finish that's meant to resemble the cratered surface of the moon, Alighieri's 24kt gold-plated The Lunar Rocks hoop earrings are an ode to the beauty of imperfection, inspired by a citation in Paradiso from the epic poem The Divine Comedy. They're crafted in London's historic jewellery district, Hatton Garden, using an artisanal lost-wax casting technique and finished with post-back fastenings.

Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
