Inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy (that’s a long Italian narrative poem, in case you didn’t know), London-based – Hatton Garden, to be exact – Alighieri came about when founder Rosh Mahtani looked for solace in Dante’s work. The result? The Sphere of the Moon necklace. Crafted in 24-carat yellow gold-plated bronze, it’s complete with a dangling gilded ball which represents the lunar orbit around the earth that's included in the second circle of Paradise.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
