The sculptural form of Alighieri's The Unwinding Constellations choker echoes the winding path that the narrator takes through hell, purgatory and heaven in Dante's 14th-century poem the Divine Comedy. It's handmade in London from 24kt gold-plated bronze, using an artisanal lost-wax casting technique with large curved links.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
