Anaak’s white Kai top fades to a soft powder blue which is created by local Indian artisans using a dip-dye technique. It’s crafted from airy cotton gauze with a crinkled effect and falls to a loose drape with a V-neckline and wide-cut sleeves.
Artist and textile designer Marissa Maximo works with small artisanal communities, especially disadvantaged women, to create her breezy, free-spirited dresses and separates in an environmentally-conscious way, using natural fibres like cotton (organic where possible) voile, muslin and silk, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.
