Maya Shirred-Waist Cotton-Muslin Culottes

Anaak’s white Maya culottes are evocative of the label’s breezy vacation spirit, crafted from cotton muslin with a softly crinkled texture which gives a fluid drape. They’re crafted in India by artisans with a high-rise shirred waistband and fall to loose, wide legs.

Artist and textile designer Marissa Maximo works with small artisanal communities, especially disadvantaged women, to create her breezy, free-spirited dresses and separates in an environmentally-conscious way, using natural fibres like cotton (organic where possible) voile, muslin and silk, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.
