Anaak is named after the word for child in the Filipino Tagalog dialect, and this black Rosa dress captures the label's inspired youthful spirit. It's made in India from handwoven cotton khadi with slim shoulder straps and a shirred bodice finished with contrasting embroidery, then flows to a playful mini hem.
Artist and textile designer Marissa Maximo works with small artisanal communities, especially disadvantaged women, to create her breezy, free-spirited dresses and separates in an environmentally-conscious way, using natural fibres like cotton (organic where possible) voile, muslin and silk, and non-toxic vegetable dyes.
