In contrast to Anya Hindmarch’s 2007 'I’m Not A Plastic Bag' project, the 'I Am A Plastic Bag' launch recognises that the problem of single-use plastic is far from solved. It’s why the British brand switches from awareness to closing the loop. This carbon-neutral tote bag is crafted from an innovative cotton canvas-feel fabric made from plastic bottles – 32, to be exact – that were once destined for landfill.
From designing her very first bag to critically-acclaimed London Fashion Week shows, Anya Hindmarch has approached every project with the creativity and humour that has become synonymous with the brand. Highlights of the last 25 years include the famous I Am Not a Plastic Bag – for which 80,000 people queued across the UK – London Fashion Week shows and windows and pop-ups in some of the world’ s leading stores, including Selfridges in London, Colette in Paris and Isetan in Tokyo.
'Made with recycled canvas. Recycled material reduces waste, uses fewer natural resources and has a lower environmental impact.'
