Clarks Desert Boots

£39

Product Details

The original Desert Boots launched in 1950. The style was developed by Nathan Clark, the great-grandson of the company’s founder, and modeled after a type of low-cut and lightweight safari boots worn by off-duty British officers in North Africa and Southeast Asia. Made from thin suede leather on top of a cushioning crepe-rubber sole, with only a couple of lace holes, the boots were cooler and more comfortable than the army’s standard regulation footwear.

  • These made-in-Italy Desert Boots use premium suede from the original tannery, Charles F. Stead & Co of Leeds.
  • Every detail remains true to the 1950 original, from the length of the stitching to the refined ‘220’ last shape that each boot is formed around
