These directional silver Bukarest sandals are the result of a collaboration between Birkenstock and Central Saint Martins MA student Alecsander Rothschild. An homage to French-Romanian sculptor Constantin Brancusi, they feature a detachable white panel which threads through the velcro straps and are set on a signature comfortable moulded footbed.
With its famously comfortable soft cork footbed, the 250-year old Birkenstock brand is enjoying a new wave of popularity, with its Boston suede clogs, Madrid and Arizona sandals stealing the spotlight thanks to cosy shearling and big buckle iterations.
