Comfort, simplicity and sustainable practices are the founding principles of CFCL, or Clothing For Contemporary Life – Issey Miyake alumni Yusuke Takahashi’s first solo venture. Using his pioneering 3D seamless knitting technology, he whips up pieces like the Portrait dress – so named for its slender vertical profile. It’s crafted from a ribbed knit to a figure-hugging silhouette and finished with long sleeves and a flared hem.
CFCL - Clothing For Contemporary Life - embodies simplicity, modesty, and responsibility. Using innovative low-waste 3D computer-developed knitwear techniques, it creates sophisticated yet easy-to-maintain tops and dresses with playful and beautiful proportions, crafted from sustainable polyester yarns.
'Made with 45% cupro and 26% recycled polyester. Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fabric made from cotton waste. While chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused. Recycled material reduces waste in the short term and uses fewer natural resources than virgin material.'
