There’s no need to wave goodbye to the suit trend this summer. Why? Because Italian fashion label Fendi is on the case – and has whisked up a selection of light, breezy, sartorial apparel. Part of the collection is the Giacca blazer, a single-breasted layer crafted from a blend of cooling linen, lyocell, and breathable cotton. Oh, and did we mention that there’s a coordinating pair of tailored shorts, too?
Fendi founded in 1925 is globally known for unabashed extravagance. Under the direction of Karl Lagerfeld it developed glamorous womens wear and classically tailored menswear. It consistently produces some of the most sought after ‘it bags’. See them in Vogue and Grazia amongst many others.
'Made with 41% linen and 38% lyocell. Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using less water than cotton to produce. Lyocell is made from plant cellulose. While chemicals are used in its production, it is a closed-loop process, meaning that chemicals can be extracted and waste water reused.'
