For his first outing at Givenchy, Matthew Williams played with the label’s hallmark styles, like the Antigona, but his second season at the Parisian house introduced one of his first new bags: the 4G. Rendered in leather, the style takes its name from the archival logo developed by Hubert de Givenchy, which sits on the front; it’s cut to a petite boxy silhouette and suspended from a simple cross-body strap.
Staying true to its Haute couture roots Givenchy is one of the most sought after brands of today. Under the creative genius of Ricacardo Tisci the collections are reminiscent of Hubert Givenchy’s mastery of sharp tailoring whilst also showcasing a rawer and tougher edge which comes natural to Tisci.
