One look at Matthew M. Williams’s AW22 collection at Givenchy, and there’s an obvious penchant for branding this season. Take this sweatshirt; spun from pure cotton and shaped to a familiar long-sleeve silhouette topped with a round neckline, it’s boldly embroidered with the Parisian brand’s namesake across the chest in the vein of metal band merchandise. Williams was a former creative director for the music industry, after all.
