Simon Porte Jacquemus launched his eponymous label in 2011, the same year his mother passed away. Named after the matriarch, the label dreams up pieces like the La Maille top with sunny days spent frolicking in the designer’s hometown in Salon-de-Provence in mind. Cut to a midriff-baring crop and shaped to a regular fit, it’s dipped in a muted checkerboard pattern and is stitched together from a breezy, lightweight cotton blend.
