La Veste Melo Wool-Blend Jacket

2021 was a year of firsts, so kicking off ‘22 with another seems only natural – queue Jacquemus’s first runway show outside his homeland (and home-continent for that matter), the Le Splash collection. Debuted in O’ahu, Hawaii, the label’s favoured summer-ready silhouettes were ever-present, the La Veste Melo jacket included. Spun from a wool-blend with cut out panels on the elbows that allow the sea-breeze to flow through, it’s just as suited to sand-scapes as it is city ones.

Essentially pared back and minimalist, self-taught French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus pairs tradition and modernity with playful irreverence. Classic references meet with unexpected proportions and distinctive details, in collections that are youthful, fresh, yet with a timeless elegance.
