Loewe’s tan belt features a gold buckle shaped to the house’s monogram, a motif designed in the 1970s and inspired by traditional branding irons. It’s crafted from leather to a slender shape with black lacquered edges, then finished with white topstitching for an artisanal mood.
For more than 150 years Loewe specialised in leather and silk. While still renowned for its expertly crafted leather goods, including its now-iconic origami-inspired puzzle fold bags, the range has grown to include a wide range of innovative luxury accessories and ready-to-wear collections that have captured the zeitgeist.
Vogue UK Commerce Writer, Alexis Bennett says: “After a year of dressing from the waist up for virtual gatherings and meetings, the neglected belt is making its way back into our everyday wardrobes. And this season, the formerly de-prioritised accessory is anchoring our reemergence looks. Whether it’s a pair of trousers for a chic return to the office, or cut-off shorts for the weekend, adding a vintage, woven leather, or designer belt helps to elevate just about any summer outfit”. 9 June 2021.
