Mara Hoffman's 'Shay' midi dress is made from an organic cotton and linen-blend that's grown using mainly rain water and without the use of harmful pesticides. It's woven with slim navy stripes and has a square neckline framed by voluminous sleeves. Use the coordinating belt to cinch your waist.
Mara Hoffman’s prints have been a summer staple since 2000. The label is now shifting gears and embracing more sustainable practices, including recycled, organic and animal-friendly materials, lower-impact production and artisan suppliers - an approach that matches their new aesthetic of softer colours and artful prints.
'Made with 71% organic cotton and 29% linen. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, uses less water and emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic. Linen is made from the fibres of the flax plant. Flax is resilient and can grow in poor soil, using less water than cotton to produce.'
