Placing the planet before profit, Patagonia has been equipping globetrotting explorers with high-performance outerwear for over 40 years. But for your more modest adventures, the Californian label whips up the Ahnya top. Crafted from organic cotton and recycled polyester repurposed from plastic bottles, the long-sleeved style is topped with a high neck and half zip to retain plenty of warmth. And, of course, it's stamped with the brand’s logo on the front.
Patagonia started small, making tools for climbers. Now, it makes clothes for outdoor adventures from trail-running to skiing and uses its voice to campaign for the protection of nature. Patagonia itself has taken impressive steps to reduce its environmental impact and set a goal for complete carbon neutrality by 2025.
'Made with 57% organic cotton and 38% recycled polyester. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers, uses less water and emits up to 46% less greenhouse gas than non-organic. Recycled polyester reduces waste, uses fewer natural resources and has a lower environmental impact.'
