Stella McCartney's AW22 collection – or more perhaps more aptly described as a tale of two Stellas – saw the London designer take a delighful turn: it was realised in collaboration with none other than the graphic artist Frank Stella himself. The Loveheart top is only one of the many covetable designs to emerge from the line-up. Stitched together from stretch-imbued cotton, it's shaped into a waist-cinching long-sleeve silhouette, marked by a faded wash and gleaming silver-tone studs.
Stella is a girl’s girl, visible in designs that embrace femininity from a variety of different and subtle angles. The always-cool and famously-vegetarian brand uses biodegradable fabrics and no fur or leather, setting design and animal welfare on an equal footing, with unshakeable standards for both.
'Stella McCartney uses of a variety of materials with lower environmental impact, including re-engineered cashmere, certified higher-welfare wool, organic cotton, recycled nylon and polyester and sustainably sourced viscose, and vegetarian alternatives to leather, fur, silk and feathers.'
