The worlds of fashion and art collided at Stella McCartney's AW22 presentation, realised in collaboration with minimalist artist Frank Stella. Plucked from the line-up showcased atop the Centre Pompidou, this dress highlights both of the creatives' signatures through its design. Spun from soft silk, it's fitted with a raised collar before falling to a relaxed profile that's laced with geometric, fine lines, akin to those in the Stella's infamous Black Paintings of 1959-1960.
Stella is a girl’s girl, visible in designs that embrace femininity from a variety of different and subtle angles. The always-cool and famously-vegetarian brand uses biodegradable fabrics and no fur or leather, setting design and animal welfare on an equal footing, with unshakeable standards for both.
'Stella McCartney uses of a variety of materials with lower environmental impact, including re-engineered cashmere, certified higher-welfare wool, organic cotton, recycled nylon and polyester and sustainably sourced viscose, and vegetarian alternatives to leather, fur, silk and feathers.'
