Ace & Spyer Jewelers is officially the oldest Jeweler store in Amsterdam. Documents found in the official archives of the City of Amsterdam indicate that Mr. Samuel Spyer incorporated his jewelry business located at Kalverstraat 201 in the heart of Amsterdam on April 27th, 1729 and named the business S. Spyer. Since the 1930s the jewelry store has been located at the current location: a magnificent Art Deco building that was designated a special monumental building by the government in 2001. During the renovation of the building in 1998 the store was modernized and renovated, without affecting the harmony of the beautiful historical building of the store. In the spring of 2005 the store was restyled and now suited the latest safety requirements for a luxurious jewelry store. In 2013 a new chapter was added to the rich history of the oldest jewelry boutique in Amsterdam. Ace & Spyer jewelers was re-launched with a complete new and modern look, while keeping the historic features of the monumental building in place. The interior has been hand drawn by Mr. David Ben Joseph himself with assistance of his daughter-in-law Aviva Ben Joseph (freelance interior designer) and the renowned Dutch designers of Edha Interiors. The larged windows of Ace & Spyer add to the spacious and luxurious environment in which the premium watch and jewelry brands are displayed. In this unique environment the Swiss brands Breitling, IWC, Omega, TAG Heuer, Longines and Breitling for Bentley, have their own exclusive Shop-in-Shop displays. As soon as you ring the bell you will be welcomed into a modern store with class and style.
