ALTEWAISAOME was founded by Natalia Altewai and Randa Saome in Malmö, Sweden, in 2009. The two young creators/designers had at that time spent several years in Italy studying and working. During that period the idea to start a fashion brand arose. The fashion duo decided that they were ready to give it all and moved back to Sweden to build ALTEWAISAOME. ALTEWAISAOME combines clean lines and monochrome colors with unique details and mixed fabrics in a stylistic and international character. The brand has emerged as one of the most talked about designers on the Scandinavian fashion scene. The breakthrough for ALTEWAISAOME came in 2011 when they for the first time showcased their AW11 collection during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm. In august the same year they once again had the opportunity to showcase their then second collection SS12 which became an immediate success both in Sweden and internationally. The success continued when ALTEWAISAOME won the Elle Award for Best newcomer of the year in fashion in 2012. In the beginning of 2012 ALTEWAISAOME also recieved the MaxFactor Award and were given the opportunity to open Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Stockholm showcasing their AW12 collection, and has since received several prestigious awards along the years. The latest award received was in 2014 as “The Designer Of The Year “ award at the yearly Elle Gala in Stockholm.
