Atalanta Weller creates shoes designed for living in. With her unique understanding of relaxed luxury, shoes are designed to go from day to night without missing a stride. Whether a signature checkerboard flat or a subversive stiletto, the balance of aesthetics with her technical understanding is always of paramount importance in the creation of her shoes. A graduate of the prestigious Cordwainers College, Atalanta‘s innovative style is built on a wealth of experience acquired through years of experience designing for the best in the industry, Followed by collaborations with like-minded British designers from Gareth Pugh and Henry Holland to more recent collaborations for AW14 with Holly Fulton. Weller launched her eponomous label to critical acclaim and NEW GEN award recognition for SS 2010. Her sculptural shoes can regularly be found in the fashion and design press such as Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle iD and Monocle Magazine. Her shoes form part of the V&A permanent collection and are regularly exhibited internationally. The shoes have a strong following from Sienna Miller and Summer Phoenix, to Jessie J, Levin Rambin, Mischa Barton and Lady Gaga to name but a few. The collection is stocked around the world from the best independent boutiques in London to Galeries Lafayette in Beijing and plenty in between.
