Funky Christmas Jumpers was established in 2008 and today has grown to become the number one destination and go-to place for Christmas Jumpers internationally. An idea that was born out of a frustration and a failed attempt to find a Christmas Jumper for a Christmas Party now see’s Founder Fabio and Donal sell Christmas Jumpers all over the world. It’s hard to believe how far Funky Christmas Jumpers has came in this their 6th year in business. It all began on a cold, wintery night in mid-December 2007. Fabio & Ciaran where on a night out and some of their friends were wearing Christmas Jumpers. They felt they were missing out on some serious fun without a Christmas Jumper. The problem was, they could not be bought anywhere. They had tried in vain to buy one, steal one and knit one but all to no avail. It seemed that the Christmas Jumper was a relic of the past and that every granny had packed away her knitting needles. In that moment Funky Christmas Jumpers was born and together with Donal a year later, Funky Christmas Jumpers has never looked back. Today Funky Christmas Jumpers has a cult celebrity following across the sports, fashion and media world and their festive knits have been spotted on a wide range of celebrities from One Direction's Harry Styles & Niall Horan, Keeping Up With The Kardashian's star Scott Disick and a host of other famous faces. Domestically FCJ has been responsible for the 'Jumpergate' media frenzy, which resulted in Ireland's Top TV presenter Mr. Ryan Tubridy wearing a ‘FCJ’ on the 2010, 2011 & 2012 Late Late Toy Show's. However, it must be said that the true stars are the fans that have helped grow Funky and achieve the companies’ goal; ‘to put a smile on peoples faces’. “2012 was an exceptional year for FCJ. Our jumpers made appearances in even more countries all over the world and we proudly accepted awards for 'Best SME using Digital' at the 2013 Samsung Digital Media Awards and 'Best Online PR' at the 2013 Bord Gais Energy Social Media Awards. The awards celebrate excellence within the digital and social media sector in Ireland and recognised FCJ's outstanding use of Digital Media.
