Agua by Agua Bendita's 'Mejorana' swimsuit has been made in Colombia by local artisans using 81% recycled fibers - the idea was inspired by the scraps of fabric left over at co-founder Catalina Álvarez's father's clothing factory. It's been embroidered by hand with a floral motif and has dramatic cutouts and adjustable ties.
Agua by Agua Bendita was co-founded by fashion designers and friends, Catalina & Mariana, ‘as an ode to Latin America's culture, biodiversity, and master artisanship.’ Ready-to-wear and swimwear pieces are handmade by female artisans in Colombia.
'Made with 81% recycled polyester. Recycled material reduces waste in the short term and uses fewer natural resources than virgin material.'
