For Alexander McQueen’s SS22 collection, Sarah Burton looked to the “ever-changing, all-encompassing magnificence” of the sky, from the tranquillity of a clear blue day to the restlessness of tempestuous storms. And although some silhouettes obviously displayed sky prints, others took a subtler approach. This silk top falls into the latter category. Free from patterns, it’s instead defined by a cropped cut and puffed-up sleeves.
Headed by Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen continues to reinvent modern femininity with pieces that combine technical expertise with contemporary relevance. From statement dresses, shoes, boots and bags to luxury loungewear and outerwear, classic silhouettes are reimagined with asymmetric cuts and opulent embellishment.
