Fans of Dante’s Divine Comedy gather around. Alighieri (the London-based label named after the famous Italian poet) dreams up sculptural silhouettes inspired by verses of the poem. Take The Captured Conversation bracelet, for example; cast in 24-carat yellow gold-plated bronze, its Figaro chain is decorated with a charm that symbolises the immortality of the words exchanged between Dante and Virgil in the first Canto.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
