Alighieri's earring takes inspiration from the dagger that, according to legend, medieval poet Dante fought with in the Battle of Campaldino. Using an ancient lost-wax casting technique, it's been handmade in London's Hatton Garden from gold-plated recycled bronze that highlights the brand's signature light-catching textures.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
