The Hopeless Lover 24ct Gold-Plated Bronze Necklace

Each of Alighieri’s creations references an unlikely source: Dante’s epic poem “Divine Comedy”. Inspired by the lover's Paolo and Francesca, who are eternally bound together in the 5th canto, the circle of lust, the label creates The Hopeless Lover necklace. It’s handcrafted in Hatton Garden from 24-carat gold-plated bronze with an abstract pendant suspended from an adjustable chain and explores how we are all subject to external forces.

Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
