The textured handle of Alighieri’s mismatched The Lia earrings is inspired by the 27th canto in Dante’s 14th-century poem, Divine Comedy, where the protagonist gathers flowers in a picturesque meadow. Part of The Roots collection, they're crafted in London from sterling silver and 24kt gold-plated bronze, then shaped to an intertwined silhouette that secures with post-back fastening.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
