Named after the Greek goddess who could turn anyone who looks at her into stone, Alighieri's 'The Medusa' ring is designed to be worn as a reminder of female empowerment. It's been handmade in London's Hatton Garden from gold-plated recycled silver cast in the shape of a serpent. Wear it on your index or middle finger.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
'Made with recycled sterling silver. Recycled material reduces waste in the short term and uses fewer natural resources than virgin material.'
