Alighieri’s The Refrain of the Night necklace is shaped with a pendant reminiscent of old-world medallions, inspired by T.S Eliot’s 20th-century poem The Waste Land which explores the landscape of a post-war London. It’s handcrafted from 24kt gold-plated bronze and suspends from an engraved cable chain featuring a glossy baroque pearl.

Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
