In tune with Rosh Mahtani’s literary fascinations, Alighieri’s The Sphere of the Moon necklace is inspired by the way the moon has served as enduring inspiration for artists, writers and poets. It’s handcrafted in London’s Hatton Garden with a 24kt gold-plated bronze textured ring and spherical pendant, suspended by a fine-link gold-filled chain – a technique that uses a thicker layer of metal for prolonged wear.

Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
