The Sphere of the Moon Gold-Plated Single Earring

Alighieri's 24kt gold-plated The Sphere of the Moon single earring is sculpted to represent the lunar orbit, highlighting the label's affinity for celestial motifs. It's crafted in Hatton Garden by local artisans employing a lost-wax casting technique whereby molten metal is poured into a meticulously carved wax mold.

Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
