The worn, textured composition of Alighieri’s The Wasteland ring takes inspiration from the infernal depictions in T.S. Eliot’s 1922 namesake poem citing the war-tone landscape of London as a place of refuge. It’s handcrafted at the label’s Hatton Garden’s studio from 24kt gold-plated sterling silver, then finished with a spiralling band.
Founded in 2014, Alighieri creates jewellery inspired by Dante Alighieri’s ‘Divine Comedy’. Its ‘Modern Heirlooms’ are all handcrafted in London. Core pieces are cast in recycled bronze before being plated in gold, or made in solid sterling silver, supplied by certified members of the Responsible Jewellery Council.
